About the Series and New Season
The globe-spanning action drama STRIKE BACK kicks off its ten-episode second season by debuting two episodes back-to-back FRIDAY, AUG. 17 (10:00-11:30 p.m. ET/PT), followed by other episodes on subsequent Fridays at the same time, exclusively on CINEMAX. Focusing on timely world security issues, the Emmy-nominated series continues to follow the stealth counterterrorism unit Section 20 and two of its core members. Reprising their lead roles from season one, Philip Winchester (“Fringe”) plays Sgt. Michael Stonebridge, a consummate British operative, and Sullivan Stapleton (“Animal Kingdom”) portrays Sgt. Damien Scott, an unconventional former Delta Force soldier.

The second season begins with Scott on a standard security mission in Kenya and Section 20 facing new pressures from command. Now out of the unit, Stonebridge is training recruits at a military base, staying close to home and being a dutiful husband. When Scott’s mission takes an unexpected dangerous turn, Section 20 must find an immediate creative solution.
