NSA Techniques Revealed in New Documents

Popular apps like Angry Birds and Google Maps are being used by the NSA and the British GCHQ to track certain users, according to documents leaked by self-proclaimed whistleblower Ed Snowden.

According to a report by Fox News, the data from the apps was used to supplement other metadata gathered by the NSA. The data includes information on the user’s marital status and sexual orientation.


George Washington Targeted by Obama Administration

In the wake of prematurely retiring USS Enterprise (CVN 65), the Obama Administration is now considering putting the Nimitz-class carrier George Washington (CVN 73) on the chopping block as well, taking America down to nine deployable carriers.

FRC Cautiously Optimistic on DOD's Instruction on Religious Expression

The Defense Department's (DOD) new regulations concerning religious expression in the military are an important step forward in the effort to strengthen religious liberty protections in the military, Lt. Gen. (ret.) Jerry Boykin, executive vice-president of the Family Research Council (FRC), said today.

The DOD Instruction requiring protections for service members' expressions of religious belief was issued as part of an update to existing DOD policy on religious accommodation.

America Losing Edge Against ChiComs

The United States is losing its edge in the Pacific against the ChiComs, the commander of United States Pacific Command warned. The warning comes in the wake of Communist China’s recent maritime border disputes with Japan and the Philippines.

According to a report by the Washington Times, Admiral Samuel J, Locklear, the commander of Pacific Command, said, “Our historic dominance that most of us in this room have enjoyed is diminishing, no question.” The comment came during a naval conference in Virginia earlier this week.
