TWO TALIBAN LEADERS KILLED
Afshin and Ismail Terrorize Logar No More

ISAF reported that two Taliban leaders were confirmed as killed during an operation on Sunday in Logar province.
According to an ISAF release, Afshin and Ismail were operating in Baraki Barak district. Afshin was involved in attacks that killed an American servicemember on Christmas Eve and an Afghan soldier on 28 December. Ismail was involved in planning direct and indirect fire attacks, and was also involved in financing operations.
ISAF also reported the capture of a third Taliban leader, this time in Wardak province. The Taliban leader was involved in planning IED attacks and also in acquiring components and materials for IEDs.
Six other insurgents were captured and two others killed during operations in Afghanistan.
