WATCH: US Precision Strike on Senior Al-Qaeda Leader in Syria

This in from U.S. Central Command in Tampa: the record of a raid, as documented by American forces. The U.S. conducted a precision airstrike in Northwest Syria, targeting a senior leader of an Al-Qaeda affiliate group.

CENTCOM tells us the Feb. 23 strike eliminated Muhammed Yusuf Ziya Talay, the senior military leader of the terrorist organization Hurras al-Din (HaD), an Al-Qaeda affiliate.

General Michael Erik Kurilla, the head of U.S. Central Command, said the U.S. will continue to seek and destroy the terrorists.

“As we have said in the past, we will continue to relentlessly pursue these terrorists in order to defend our homeland, and U.S., allied, and partner personnel in the region,” Kurilla said.
