Family of Marine, Iraq Veteran held as political prisoner of 6 Jan. Plea: Help Free James Mcgrew 

James McGrew, Marine, Iraq Veteran, wounded, has been held since 6 Jan 2021.

The Charges: obstruct, influence, or impede any official proceeding, or attempt to do so. ….plus assault in police . He, nor has anyone else been charged as in Insurrectionist.

Task Force Officer (TFO), whose name has been blacked out, filed the charges: I am a “federal law enforcement officer” within the meaning of Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 41(a)(2)(C). I am assigned to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Joint Terrorism Task Force. As part of my duties,

I am tasked with investigating criminal activity in and around the Capitol grounds on January 6, 2021. As a TFO I am authorized by law or by a Government agency to engage in or supervise the prevention, detention, investigation, or prosecution of a violation of Federal criminal laws……….

. Members of the U.S. Capitol Police attempted to maintain order and keep the crowd from entering the Capitol; however, shortly around 2:00 p.m., individuals in the crowd forced entry into the U.S. Capitol, including by breaking windows and by assaulting members of the U.S. Capitol Police, as others in the crowd encouraged and assisted those acts……..

During national news coverage of the aforementioned events, video footage which appeared to be captured on mobile devices of persons present on the scene depicted evidence of violations of local and federal law, including scores of individuals inside the U.S. Capitol building without authority to be there, in violation of Federal laws. Photographs and videos of several of these persons were disseminated via social media and other open source online platforms. These persons included a white male, wearing a white t-shirt, and a gray/white/black “Columbia” jacket. The images below depict the individual, highlighted with a red box, whom law enforcement has probable cause to believe is James Burton McGrew (“MCGREW”). DOJ full release here

My son is being held as a Political Prisoner in Washington for Jan 6th Rally. We were there to express our voice that day on election integrity .

He was arrested May 27th and is being held with no release. He is a veteran of the Marine Corp and joined after 911 to fight for his country. While he was serving his country, he and two other Marines were hit by a IED while on patrol.  

He would downplay his injuries until he finished his tour over there and back home.

The transition was not easy getting out on Honorable discharge for medical after his enlistment of only 4 years because he wanted so bad to stay in and be there with his buddies.

James’s loves his country, He is a 3rd generation Marine. His Grandfather and his Father were also Marines. James’s was brought up to Love and Fear God.

He is a father of one son and helps take care of an Old Mom. James needs medical treatment also that may require surgery. WE NEED JAMES HOME. We greatly appreciated all the support everyone has shown and there is still a Great America. God Bless and Thank You
