WATCH: Marines Deploy Concertina Wire Along US Southern Border

Security operations along the U.S. southern border include setting up new physical barriers to curtail illegal border crossings. Here is a time lapse of setting up concertina wire near San Ysidro, California.

These Marines with 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, worked along the southern border wall on Feb. 5-6, 2025. This is part of an overall mission with U.S. Northern Command and the Department of Homeland Security.
