Websters Dictionary defines Ultima Ratio as “The Final Argument.” Which is derived from the
Latin expression ultima ratio regum (“the final argument of kings”), which Louis XIV had
engraved on his cannons in 18th century France.

Thirty-one years after its initial introduction, and after three years of research and development, the PGM
Precision team presents the new upgraded Ultima Ratio. Let’s take a look!

The company, PGM Precision, is a designer and manufacturer of high precision rifles for military, law
enforcement and sporting use. It makes a number of rifles at its facility near Annecy in the French Alps. They include the Ultima Ratio, Hecate 2, Mini Hecate 2, Ludis, and PGM 338.

The company is the official supplier of French Armed Forces, as well as many other French and foreign
special forces.
