Soldier of Fortune Goes to RIMPAC: Choreography at Sea

Greetings again from Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC), in and around the Hawaiian Islands. Here is some of the choreography that goes into the exercise that also leads to strange encounters at sea with puffer fish.

More than 40 ships and submarines, along with more than 200 aircraft and 25,000-plus personnel are taking part in RIMPAC this year. The exercise includes 22 nations, and lasts through Aug. 1. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC brings together nations that help to ensure the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans. The series began in 1971.
