Viral Video Shows Russian Soldier Learning the Wrong Way to Throw a Grenade

A video clip of a Russian soldier in action has sparked laughter on Twitter, for showing what not to do when throwing a hand grenade.

The clip was posted by @clashreport, which did not reveal where the action takes place, nor how it obtained the video.

The clip shows a Russian soldier in the woods, being taught how to throw a grenade, which he then unpins and tosses toward a field. As commenters remarked on the video, though, the result was “Trees 1; Ivan 0.”

That’s because the grenade bounces off a tree branch, and explodes near the soldier, who managed to duck the incoming.

The clip ends with Russian laughter. No one, apparently, was hurt.
