WATCH: Ukrainian Sniper Takes Out Russian Soldier in Record-Breaking Shot

A sniper in the security service of Ukraine (SBU) claimed a groundbreaking world record by taking out a Russian soldier from a distance of 2.36 miles. The shot beats the previous record for a combat kill from a distance of 1.7 miles.

The sniper used a Ukrainian-made sniper rifle known as Horizon’s Lord, made by MAYAK. The rifle files rounds that maintain supersonic speeds for nearly 10,000 feet when coupled with the appropriate ammunition. Here’s how it happened.
