Dee Life@DeeRealLife·A message I never thought would have to be shared. After a lifetime in Canada, in two weeks we leave to start a new life in Arizona. Why we are leaving: (Thread)

The Ottawa Police are on a mission to crush the peaceful protestors. They have taken violent measures to clear the streets. This is a peaceful protest. The U.S. and the Western world are silent.

Outraged Canadians are pushing back. Police become desperate but won’t back down:

Interim Chief Steve Bell speaks about ongoing police enforcement to end the unlawful demonstration. Some try to lightning it up with the truth.

“We know the events in #Ottawa are upsetting. Still, we’re asking people to stop calling critical emergency and operational phone lines to express displeasure about the police action to remove an unlawful assembly downtown….Lives can depend on 911 calls getting through. It is a crime to unnecessarily call 911 or our non-emergency number (613-236-1222). We track calls and will charge anyone deliberately interfering with the phone lines.

But many Canadians agree with the police and believe they have been exercising restraint.

Poso Remembers Ottawa@JackPosobiec·I’ve seen police mounted units at many, many protests and events in the United States going back to the Philadelphia RNC over 20 years ago I’ve never seen them charge into a crowd like that anywhere in the world

Police have taken to Twitter with their narrative.

“The protesters continued their assaultive behaviour with the police line, to prevent an escalation or further injury, mounted officers were sent in to create critical space between the police line and protesters. This is done to create a safe distance, @OttawaPolice·6h

“We hear your concern for people on the ground after the horses dispersed a crowd. Anyone who fell got up and walked away. We’re unaware of any injuries. A bicycle was thrown at the horse further down the line and caused the horse to trip. The horse was uninjured.”

“As this was happening a bicycle was thrown at the feet of one of the horses in an attempt to injure it. One person was arrested for intentionally harming a police service animal.

What you are seeing are Public Order Units in a line formation. Protestors are continuously being told to leave, or they face arrest. You will see the line slowly moving forward to give people who want to leave the opportunity to do so.

“Ottawa Police: All media who are attending the area, please keep a distance and stay out of police operations for your safety. Anyone found within areas undergoing enforcement may be subject to arrest. There will be a media availability later today at 474 Elgin Street.”

“DEMONSTRATORS: You must leave. You must cease further unlawful activity and immediately remove your vehicle and/or property from all unlawful protest sites. Anyone within the unlawful protest site may be arrested” Ottawa Police

The big threat is to taking children from their parents.

“Protestors have put children between police operations and the unlawful protest site. The children will be brought to a place of safety,” the police tell media to move out of the way, take children who are with their parents.

The Ottawa Police Service wants to inform you that under provincial and federal legislation, you will face severe penalties if you do not cease further unlawful activity and remove your vehicle and/or property immediately from all unlawful protest sites.

You can expect to see police checkpoints where you will be asked your reason for travelling within the Secured Area.

But the Protests have been peaceful and constitutionally protected, as Supporters Of the peaceful protests.

“Canadians have the right to protest, to disagree with their government, and to make their voices heard. We’ll always protect that right. But let’s be clear: They don’t have the right to blockade our economy, or our democracy, or our fellow citizens’ daily lives. It has to stop.

“So far, hundreds of RCMP officers have been mobilized to support the Ottawa Police Services. We’re also working with municipal partners to further strengthen our response, and we’ll continue to be there with whatever resources are needed to get the situation under control.

“The blockades in Windsor and Ottawa are endangering jobs, impeding trade, threatening the economy, and obstructing our communities. They must stop. I spoke about that with @FordNation tonight – our teams will keep working to support Ontarians and get the situation under control, “ Trudeau said Is he pushes science and supporting lock down businesses.

“Everyone is fed up with this pandemic. Especially our workers on the front lines. We owe it to them to keep listening to science and supporting each other,” he said to those not protesting implying that the truckers don’t follow “science.”

Meanwhile Psaki of the White House said that they are closely monitoring the situation, that it had nothing to do with mandates. Both Washington and Trudeau fear the freedom contagion.

“Well, let me first start by saying: I know there’s been some suggestion — not by reporters necessarily at all — but that this congestion is related to the vaccine requirements.  It’s not.  I mean, I — I’m saying — I’m going to get to the protests.  But the protests going on across Canada, which have spread to a bridge, are leading to sporadic congestion and blockages,” Psaki said in a conservative brief. thorough report.

“I would — just to go back to my point I was trying to make is that across — what we’ve seen with these requirements is, across indus- — a range of industries, vaccine — vaccination requirements have been implemented with no disruptions, have helped increase vaccinations.

“These requirements help protect more people from COVID.  And there’s been zero indication across these industries that they would lead to disruptions, including on this policy,” she said.

“We, of course, support, as you know, the right to freedom of speech and protest.  But we — and while we do see some of these congestions due to protests, this is clear that these disruptions have broadened in scope beyond the vaccine requirement implementation.

“We — beyond that, we are, of course, in touch with our Canadian counterparts, but I don’t have any updates in terms of specific steps,” she said.

Meanwhile, SWAT and police were ordered to steal gas, Trudeau and Ottawa police pressured confiscation of funding by supporters. But what went viral is the manhandling of a tiny old grandpa who joined the peaceful protest.

UPDATE While at least two Provinces in Canada have announced the lifting of Covid restrictions, Mandate, Trudeau sends out more police officers, SWAT teams and refuses to budge.
