The Bellevue-based Second Amendment Foundation has launched a unique pilot project in Washington and Virginia that advances its legal agenda without actually filing any lawsuits, and Executive Vice President Alan Gottlieb told this column that he is looking to take this campaign nationwide in 2013.

No Fast & Furious question in debate, but case back in spotlight, anyway

Operation Fast and Furious did not come up during last night’s final presidential debate, but it is definitely in the spotlight this morning as the two Capitol Hill lawmakers responsible for investigating the gun walking scandal are now asking for an update, and they’ve set a deadline tomorrow to get that information.

Fast & Furious is in the news again. The Obama Administration this week filed court papers to get the lawsuit filed by the House of Representatives against Attorney General Eric Holder thrown out.

The House lawsuit asks the court to reject a claim of executive privilege by the President, who sealed thousands of documents relating to Fast & Furious, a Justice Department operation that facilitated the smuggling of thousands of U.S. weapons south of the border.
