Speed-Firing an M777 Howitzer

How fast can an M777 be fired in succession? These Marines with the 1st Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, can give you an idea. They recently conduced live fire training with their M777 towed 155 mm howitzer at the Pōhakuloa Training Area, Hawaii, during Rim of the Pacific Exercise (RIMPAC). The entire event included 26 nations, along with 38 ships, four submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Jerry Edlin)
